Fall Festival

October was a busy and exciting month at SWAG Family Resource Center.

Elementary age children participated in costume decorating. Children were encouraged to develop their own super hero persona and then decorated t-shirts, capes, and arm bands that reflected their persona and super powers. The event was exciting for everyone and gave children an opportunity to be creative and highlight their strengths!

Middle and high school students paired up with students from UF to carve pumpkins. It was the first time that any of the students carved a pumpkin. Students had the opportunity to work together, building relationships, and discuss college.

Families and patrons of all ages were invited to attend SWAG FRC’s first Fall Festival. Despite heavy rain, there was great attendance. Patrons played various carnival type games, made crafts, earned tasty treats, and won fun prizes.
