February was National Children’s Dental Health Month.  To bring awareness to children’s dental health, the United Health Foundation, together with, SWAG, the SW Health Clinic, the SWAG Family Resource Center and the Alachua County Health Department held an event last week at the clinic and the resource center.  The event included a community dinner, as well as dental screenings, dental give aways, and various dental education resources.  It was a fun and productive night, and we continue to be grateful to the United Health Foundation for the $1.85 million grant they awarded to the SW Health Clinic to provide top of the line dental services to our community.

This was also a great opportunity to show off the new murals in the children’s exam rooms on the medical side of the clinic.  Many thanks to our donors that paid for the supplies to make that happen, as well as the artists that donated their time and talents to do the paintings.
