Today was SWAG’s annual Thanksgiving event! With many thanks to our generous partners, we were able to provide 217 turkeys (and a turkey breast!) along with a bag with all the side items. After 9 years, we’re getting pretty good at this. Thank you Partnership for Strong Families, Preservation & Enhancement Group, our Alachua County Veterans, along with Sheriff Darnell and the men and women of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. We couldn’t do this without all of you! We love our community partners.
Our deputies even go out into the community each year to deliver Thanksgiving dinner to our community members who may have difficulty getting to our center to pick up their turkeys. This year, Sheriff Darnell helped make deliveries, too.
We are so grateful to everyone who helps us accomplish so much.
